Help Preserve History and Strengthen Community

Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Friends-Stewards of AAMLO relies on dedicated volunteers who share a passion for preserving history, supporting educational programs, engaging the community, and helping create meaningful experiences for visitors of all ages.

Whether you have professional expertise to share, enjoy working behind the scenes, or simply want to become more involved in your community, there is a place for you at Friends-Stewards of AAMLO.

Current Volunteer Needs

At this time, Friends-Stewards of AAMLO is particularly seeking volunteers to assist with:

Tech support to advertise FSAAMLO workshops and programs
Social media marketing and FSAAMLO Instagram and Facebook pages
Write articles in the monthly Real newsletter
Conduct research to obtain newspaper articles and images as reference materials for elders oral history narratives
Provide skills to digitize the videos for elders oral history narratives
Work on the leadership team to educate our OSA high school student interns on Wednesdays from 1:30-4:30pm (October-May every school year)
Assist on the leadership team to develop and implement community educational programs
Create advertisement (flyers) to promote workshops and programs
Monitor and document volunteer service hours
Assist with the development of fundraising events
Volunteer to assist with registration and new membership and greet guests during programs
Marketing and fundraising experience to obtain major sponsors for events
Volunteer to work during beautification days at AAMLO
